The overall roof condition determines whether repair, refurbishment or replacement makes commercial sense.
Repair, refurbish or replace
Repair addresses isolated defects. Refurbishment can include systematic fixing, sealing, flashing and protective work. Replacement is considered where corrosion, profile condition or repeat leakage makes piecemeal repair uneconomic.
Profile, coating, gauge and fixing specification remain project-specific.
IBR, concealed-fix and roof sheeting replacement
SBS focuses on complete installed roofing projects rather than loose material supply. Projects can include IBR-type roofing, concealed-fix systems and complete roof sheeting replacement.
Ridges, barges, aprons, wall flashings, valleys, penetrations, gutters and downpipes are treated as part of the weathering system.
